Who's Hot on the Block?- Lauren Greenfield

There is something more captivating about one frame than the 24 quick frames you see in a film. A still photo lingers with you and leaves an impression. Any good photo will trigger emotions immediately.

So I decided to get back into things by updating my "Who's Hot on the Block" installments. I have admired this photographer for a while now. Lauren Greenfield , a member of the esteemed photo agency 'VII', is the photographer highlighted in this installment of "Who's Hot on the Block?"

Greenfield has done penetrating documentary projects on women and self image including Girl Culture and her most recent project, Thin. She pursues sensitive subjects that people, not experiencing this life would otherwise be ignorant about. Thin delves into the world of anorexia and eating disorders. It is also being made into a documentary which will debut on HBO on November 14. You can catch her on ABC's Nightline tonight at 11:30 pm EST talking about Thin. Lauren Greenfield gets close to her subjects and I really admire the work that she does.
